  • Estonia (Tallinn University of Technology) is taking part of EFFRA activities starting 2016 second half.

  • Project proposal of Estonia to I4MS Digital Innovation Hubs programme was successful. In the two phases of the open call process, a total number of 41 consortia submitted proposals to prepare feasibility studies to establish Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) in their regions. The evaluation process resulted in the selection of 29 proposals which will receive financial support as well as mentoring and coaching services. Contracts will be established between relevant I4MS projects and the DIH consortia. The mentoring and coaching will start at a summer school which will also serve as the kickoff meeting and which is to be held in September.

Upcoming events:

 “The 25th International Baltic Conference of Engineering Materials & Tribology“ – BALTMATTRIB 2016, continues the tradition of the previous regular meeting by addressing the core fundamentals as well as timely topics on the leading edges of materials engineering and tribology.

 On 15 and 16 September leading industrial and research experts will gather in Brussels for a major conference on the future of manufacturing in Europe - Factories of the Future Conference 2016: Materialising Factories 4.0.

The mission of the Manufuture Estonia platform (being in line with the European Manufuture Platform) is to propose a strategy for the industry, based on research and innovation, for:
  • speeding up the rate of industrial transformation;
  • securing high added value employment;
  • winning a major share of world manufacturing output in the future knowledge driven economy.
